We are now looking for an Operations Chemist to join us on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As an Operations Chemist, you will be responsible for analysing waste in a laboratory setting to identify whether it is suitable to accept and any necessary handling or processing precautions.
Working alongside the Waste Treatment Division, you will maintain accurate records including inspecting and completing waste consignment notifications and documents.
Maintaining a high standard of quality control methods, you’ll ensure waste assessments are accurate and identify appropriate safety and process considerations.
About You
To be considered as an Operations Chemist, you will need:
- Experience of waste, wastewater and water analyses using spectrophotometric methods
- The ability to work as a part of a team
- A customer-focused attitude
- Communication skills
- A HND or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or a related subject
- Proficiency in MS Office
A degree in chemistry would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of hazardous waste classification and consignment note systems.
