LGV Driver
Salary: £16.73 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week
Location: Chapterhouse, CH65 4EP
As an LGV Driver at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, ensuring compliance with all legal, environmental, and health & safety requirements. You will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers while always maintaining a professional and courteous approach.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
- Drive and take responsibility for allocated vehicles and equipment
- Ensure all vehicle checks, safety equipment, and PPE requirements are met
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
- Complete all associated paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain compliance with all legal, environmental, and company policies
- Carry out daily vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, etc.)
- Report defects, faults, and incidents promptly
- Support with winter emergency work such as gritting and snow clearance
- Undertake any other duties as required
What are we looking for?
- Qualified – HGV Class 1 entitlement and CPC qualification are essential
- Experienced – proven driving industry experience
- Safety-conscious – strong focus on health & safety and compliance
- Customer-focused – professional, polite, and courteous always
- Reliable and adaptable – able to respond to changing priorities, including emergency and seasonal duties
- Proactive – willing to identify and suggest safe and efficient working practices
