Visitor Centre and Administration Manager

Salary – £32,454 - £40,568 (plus benefits)
Hours – Full-time – Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Location – Lincolnshire Energy from Waste Facility, LN6 3QZ

As a Visitor Centre and Administration Manager at FCC Environment, this is a 12-month fixed term contract managing the Visitor Centre, site administration, and reception team at the Lincolnshire Energy from Waste Facility. Ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional service for visitors, colleagues, and stakeholders. You will play a key role in delivering educational programmes, coordinating visitor activities, and supporting the smooth running of the site.
This vacancy is for a full-time position.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the Visitor Centre at the Lincolnshire Energy from Waste facility, including conference and classroom facilities
• Coordinating visitor enquiries, bookings, tours, and educational activities
• Delivering engaging educational programmes focused on sustainability, recycling, waste minimisation, and energy recovery
• Organising community liaison meetings and other stakeholder engagement activities
• Managing site administration, reception staff, and cleaning contracts
• Maintaining management systems, controlled documents, training records and administrative databases.
• Overseeing training records, medical arrangements, payroll submissions, and flexitime monitoring
• Updating educational resources, evaluating visitor feedback, and continuously improving the visitor experience
• Maintaining website content and managing facility enquiries

What are we looking for?

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities
• Experience leading or supervising teams
• Good IT skills and confidence using databases, spreadsheets, and online systems
• Ability to engage with a wide variety of visitors, stakeholders, and community groups
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
• Customer-focused approach with high professional and ethical standards
• Experience within environmental, waste management, education, sustainability, or community engagement sectors would be advantageous.
• NVQ Level 3 in Administration or a similar qualification would be beneficial
